Castle Leslie Estate is Ireland's Equestrian Playground where the Horse is King. Located behind the Hunting Lodge, the centre is in the perfect place for adventure - Imagine over a thousand acres of rolling hills, parkland and lakes to explore on horseback. The Equestrian Centre caters for all levels of experience. Beginners can choose from a gentle hack or private lesson - or the complete first timers can try out the virtual horse before tackling the real thing. The more advanced rider can enjoy fast-paced exhilarating cross-country rides over the 300 new jumps. For something a little different, why not try side-saddle lessons with Lady Jane Alexander or carriage driving on the Estate.
The new 30 x 50 meter indoor arena is ideal for clinics and to date there has been a series of training days with numerous international riders along with regular clinics with Jeremy Spring. Dressage expert, Gisela Holstein conducted a very successful one-on-one clinic in November and plans to run these on a monthly basis. Castle Leslie Estate is currently in negotiations with John Ledingham, Tiny Clapham, Pippa Funnell, Lucinda Green, Andrew and Bettina Hoy for demonstrations and clinics in 2008.
